You should come to the Bay Area in September

In September, Governor Brown is convening the Global Climate Action Summit (GCAS) in SF to promote his “real climate leadership” credentials on a global stage. But Jerry Brown’s promotion of continued fossil fuel production, carbon trading markets and other incentives to oil, gas and other polluting corporations, perpetuates climate change and decimates Indigenous communities and Native nations, communities of color and other working class peoples throughout California and around the world.

Let's disrupt Jerry Brown's Global Climate Action Summit!

We’ve known for a long time to not believe the false narrative that green capitalism can take care of us and the planet. The people that got us into the climate crisis are not going to be the ones to get us out of it.

Jerry Brown's record on offshore drilling, fracking and protecting the water and air of local refinery communities doesn’t match his rhetoric — so we’re skeptical at say the least.

Who’s all going to be here?

People from the Bay and across the country are going to be bringing their A-game in September to hold the line against climate capitalism and build stronger relationships with each other.

Who we're working with

We've (Diablo Rising Tide) teamed up with Idle No More SF Bay, the Ruckus Society, It Takes Roots Indigenous Environmental Network and Brown's Last Chance.

Nobody knows the stories of climate and social injustice like the people most affected by fossil fuel development. They know what it takes to win. Our work will center communities fighting for a just and equitable climate future in the Bay.
